ones we might be interested in.  We only looked inside one home, and that is the 

one we live in.  She was very helpful in the closing process.  She guided us through 

every step, answering a thousand questions.  When the title company failed to do 

their job, she got right in there and made the closing happen.  She was great.

I moved to San Diego around August of 2008 for a new job and hopes of  


buying my first home. I talked with a two other Realtors before deciding to  


go with Amanda. They both pressured me for my business, but didn't make an  


effort to understand my initial fears. The best quality in a realtor is how  


responsive they are to your concerns, and Amanda always responded promptly  


to my emails and phone calls. She had taken the time on several weekends to  


drive me around to see places, and she understood the in's and out's of the  


market (from short sales, foreclosures, to regular sales). As a first time  


buyer, she made the process less stressful and a WHOLE lot less  


intimidating for me.


 


One example is when she advised me against further pursuit of a property  


when the seller placed overly strict terms on the counter-offer (making me  


pay for an inspection before the offer was approved - somewhat locking me  


into the property). I eventually found the right property after 2 and 1/2  


months with the patience and support of Amanda. When it came time to  


escrow, she gave me references of certain lenders and inspectors she had  


worked with in the past, but also made it very clear to me that I can  


easily find my own lenders and inspectors. When I actually did this, she  


was able to work with them directly to facilitate the closing process.  


After closing she offered any help she could provide (ex: help  


communicating with the HOA).

Amanda Guerin was our real estate agent for our first home purchase.  My


husband and I both work fairly long hours, and Amanda was willing to meet on


nights and weekends to accommodate our schedules.  She was always prompt and


reliable.  We looked at about 20 houses before finding the one we bought,


and Amanda was patient with us and willing to show us as many houses as we


wanted to see.  After a series of counteroffers with the sellers on our


home, when we and the sellers were at our respective price limits, Amanda


and the sellers' agents worked out a plan to reduce their respective


commissions so that we could reach a deal, and now we are in our first home.
